Peanut Butter Mud Pie

Makes about 8

1 8-oz package of cream cheese at room temperature
2 cups powdered sugar
1 ready-to-use Oreo pie
1 16-oz. tub of Cool-Whip or other whipped topping
1/2 cup peanut butter
Chopped peanuts for garnish (optional)
Chocolate sauce for garnish (optional)

Mix cream cheese with sugar until silky smooth. Add peanut butter. Again mix until silky smooth. Fold in Cool-Whip until there are no streaks left. Pile into pie crust and smooth down with back of spoon. Chill in the freezer for 20 minutes and remove to the refrigerator for 10 minutes more. Just before serving, sprinkle a few finely chopped peanuts over the top. Serve narrow slices, as this is rich. To add a gourmet touch, drizzle thin lines of chocolate sauce on plate and pie slice.

Would make this again.
My family loves this pie!!! Very easy to make, if your pressed 4 time you can use whipped cream cheese instead of waiting to soften. Also you can add to taste the amount of PB and coolwhip!!!! Would recommend not leaving in on a warm table or out side..... melts!! five stars
